Pauley Perrette was born on March 27, 1969, in New Orleans and raised across the southern United States. She studied criminal justice at Valdosta State University before continuing her education at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City.
She rose to international fame in 2003 as Abby Sciuto on NCIS, becoming one of the show’s most beloved characters. She also made appearances in franchise spinoffs like NCIS: Los Angeles and NCIS: New Orleans. Beyond acting, Perrette is known for her activism and creative passions, including poetry and music.
In 2019, she departed NCIS following reported on-set issues. She later starred in the CBS sitcom Broke in 2020. That same year, she announced her retirement from acting, expressing gratitude for her journey and the unwavering support of those around her.
