CBS’ new series Boston Blue is bringing back Donnie Wahlberg’s Danny Reagan — and possibly more familiar faces — but fans are still wondering: where did the Reagan family land after Blue Bloods ended?
The long-running drama, which debuted in 2010, centered on the Reagan family’s deep ties to the NYPD, led by Commissioner Frank Reagan. Alongside him were his father Henry and his children Erin, Danny, and Jamie, all playing key roles in law enforcement.
After 14 successful seasons, CBS canceled the show — a decision that didn’t sit well with Tom Selleck. In late 2024, he admitted frustration, arguing the series was still performing strongly and could have continued dominating Friday nights.
Now, CBS is expanding the story with Boston Blue, focused on Danny’s next chapter. While Donnie Wahlberg is confirmed to lead, Bridget Moynahan is currently the only original cast member officially set to return — though more familiar faces could still appear.
