Jennifer Beals Joins ‘NCIS: New York’ as CBS Expands the Hit Franchise

The NCIS universe continues to grow, and CBS has added another major name to its newest spinoff.

Jennifer Beals, known for her roles in Flashdance and The L Word, has officially joined NCIS: New York as Robyn Wells, the head of the New York field office.

Beals will appear alongside LL Cool J, who returns as fan-favorite Special Agent Sam Hanna. The upcoming series will follow Hanna’s return to his hometown of New York City, where he begins working with a new team on high-stakes investigations.

The spinoff will also feature Scott Caan as Nick Schaeffer, a skilled but unpredictable agent who partners with Hanna as they take on dangerous cases across the city.

As the leader of the field office, Robyn Wells will oversee the team and play a key role in guiding their missions.

Jennifer Beals’ casting represents one of the biggest additions to the highly anticipated series, which is scheduled to premiere as part of CBS’s 2026–27 television season.

With LL Cool J returning to the franchise and new characters joining the story, NCIS: New York is shaping up to become the latest major expansion of the long-running NCIS universe.
