Pauley Perrette, best known as Abby Sciuto on NCIS, celebrated her 57th birthday on March 27.
Born in New Orleans, she became a fan favorite during her 15-season run on NCIS from 2003 to 2018. Her portrayal of the quirky and energetic forensic scientist made Abby one of the most beloved characters on television.
At the peak of her career, Perrette earned one of the highest Q Scores among female TV stars, placing her alongside household names like Tom Hanks and Morgan Freeman in audience likability.
Interestingly, acting wasn’t her original path. She studied criminal science at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and once considered careers as a veterinarian, FBI agent, or even a musician before finding her place in entertainment.
Beyond acting, Perrette has explored a wide range of passions—from music, where she fronted a punk band, to writing, photography, and activism. She is especially known for her work in animal rescue and her strong support for civil rights.
After retiring from acting in 2020, she has focused on her personal interests and creative pursuits.
Happy Birthday to Pauley Perrette—an unforgettable presence on screen and a truly unique personality off it. 🎉
