Blue Bloods star Bridget Moynahan has lined up an exciting new TV project after briefly returning as Erin Reagan in the franchise offshoot Boston Blue alongside Donnie Wahlberg.
Beyond her longtime role as Erin Reagan, Moynahan is also known for playing Natasha in And Just Like That… and its predecessor Sex and the City, as well as starring opposite Will Smith in the sci-fi film I, Robot.
Now, the 54-year-old actress is set to join the main cast of Hulu’s upcoming drama The Land, created by Dan Fogelman, the mind behind This Is Us. Currently in production, the show revolves around an NFL team in Cleveland and could be a perfect pick for viewers looking for something with the heart and sports-driven storytelling of Ted Lasso.
Sports-focused series have gained huge popularity worldwide in recent years, thanks to hits like Heated Rivalry, Finding Her Edge, and the hugely successful documentary series Formula 1: Drive to Survive. With a strong cast already attached, The Land is shaping up to be another standout entry in the genre.
What is The Land about?
Many plot details are still under wraps, but the story centers on the Cleveland Browns. While football plays a central role, the series will also explore deeper personal and emotional storylines behind the scenes.
Who stars in The Land?
The series is led by Christopher Meloni, best known for Law & Order: Organized Crime, who plays the team’s head coach Danny. Moynahan will star as his ex-wife, Belinda, bringing another layered character to the ensemble cast.
