Emily Wickersham just went blonde again — and fans instantly saw shades of her former Eleanor Ellie Bishop look from NCIS.
In a July 2023 Instagram post, the actress debuted her lighter hair, jokingly captioning it “back to blonde programming,” and credited celebrity hairstylist Ashley Javier Parlor. The reaction was immediate: viewers flooded the comments saying it made them miss Bishop — and some even hoped it hinted at a return.
Wickersham played the fan-favorite agent from Season 11 until her surprise exit in Season 18. She announced her departure in May 2021, thanking the cast, crew, and CBS for being part of television history. Shortly after, she revealed she was expecting her first child with actor James Badge Dale, which may have influenced her decision to step away.
In the Season 18 finale, Bishop was written out after being fired from the team — though it was later revealed the situation was part of a covert mission set up by her mentor Odette Malone, leaving the door open for a future comeback.
