Blue Bloods Spinoff Boston Blue: Everything We Know So Far
Donnie Wahlberg is bringing Danny Reagan to Boston in the new Blue Bloods spinoff, Boston Blue, set to premiere in fall 2025. After 14 seasons of policing New York, Danny moves to Beantown, away from his iconic Reagan family — but the stakes and drama are just as high.
He’ll team up with Sonequa Martin-Green as Detective Lena Peters, the eldest daughter of a prominent law enforcement family. Expect tough cases, political tension, and maybe even a hint of romance for Danny.
Joining the cast are Maggie Lawson as Boston PD’s strict superintendent Sarah Silver, Ernie Hudson as Lena’s grandfather Reverend Peters, and Gloria Reuben as matriarch Mae Silver. Like the original, family and policing will remain at the show’s heart.
While Danny is the only confirmed Reagan so far, CBS calls the series a “Blue Bloods universe expansion,” leaving room for familiar faces to appear. Wahlberg has teased that Danny’s next chapter will let him explore life independently while still staying connected to his family.
