Tom Selleck Hints at No Return as Frank Reagan in ‘Boston Blue’
Boston Blue fans hoping for a Frank Reagan comeback may need to temper expectations. Tom Selleck addressed the possibility of reprising his iconic Blue Bloods role in CBS’s new spinoff during a recent interview with Hour Detroit.
The 80-year-old actor, who portrayed Frank Reagan for 14 seasons on Blue Bloods from 2010 to 2024, suggested he is unlikely to return for the new series, Boston Blue.
“I don’t know if I would do Boston Blue. That’s another show,” Selleck said, adding that while he values the legacy of Blue Bloods, continuing the role is not something he sees in his future.
