It’s Official! NCIS: Los Angeles Season 15 Is BACK — and Fans Didn’t See This Coming!

After four quiet years in Alaska, Leroy Jethro Gibbs is stepping back into action.

Mark Harmon will officially reprise his iconic role for a special Veterans Day crossover between NCIS and NCIS: Origins, airing November 11 on CBS. The event begins with NCIS: Origins at 8 p.m. ET/PT, followed by NCIS at 9 p.m.

The story bridges past and present, linking a 1990s case led by a young Gibbs (played by Austin Stowell) to a modern-day investigation that reopens long-buried wounds.

Co-showrunners David J. North and Gina Lucita Monreal hint that while Gibbs once sought isolation in Alaska, “he’s no longer alone.” Harmon — who also narrates Origins and serves as executive producer — said the creative direction felt like the right moment to revisit the character.

As for what Gibbs has been doing all this time — and who may now be by his side — that mystery remains under wraps.
