“Boston Blue SHOCK CAST CHANGE: Donnie Wahlberg’s Son Recast as New Reagan Era Begins”
CBS has confirmed a major change ahead of its upcoming Blue Bloods spin-off Boston Blue. Mika Amonsen will now play Sean Reagan, replacing Andrew Terraciano in the role.
In the new series, Sean Reagan moves to Boston to start a new life as a Boston PD patrolman, stepping out of his father Danny Reagan’s shadow while still carrying the family legacy forward.
Donnie Wahlberg reprises his role as Danny Reagan, who also relocates to Boston, setting up a deeper father–son storyline as they reconnect in a new city and new department.
The series expands the Blue Bloods universe, introducing a new law enforcement family led by Detective Lena Silver, played by Sonequa Martin-Green, alongside a fresh ensemble cast.
Boston Blue will take over the Friday 10/9c slot this fall, continuing the legacy of the long-running CBS police drama with a new setting, new dynamics, and familiar faces in unfamiliar territory.
