NCIS: Los Angeles Star Dies at 68, Fans Heartbroken

Daniela Ruah is adding another exciting project to her growing post-NCIS: Los Angeles career. The actress is set to star in and executive produce …And Then She Was Gone, a mystery thriller based on Karen McQuestion’s bestselling novel The Moonlight Child.

 

Ruah will work alongside screenwriter Justin Kohlas and director Tawnia McKiernan on the adaptation. She will also reunite with Natalia del Riego, whose previous appearance on NCIS: Los Angeles was well received by fans.

 

The film centers on a young woman rebuilding her life after leaving foster care when she uncovers disturbing secrets involving a neighboring house and a mysterious child. As her curiosity grows, she finds herself drawn into a gripping search for the truth.

 

Production is expected to begin in fall 2026, marking another major step for Ruah as she continues to expand her creative portfolio through her production company, Merkaba Films.
